Hebrew Language Studies

I will be hosting a seminar soon about the importance of studying ancient manuscripts in the language in which they were written. It is such a joy to me to find different manuscripts so available today. I spent time in Israel digging through ancient ruins. I love ancient history. The people of an earlier time had such a slower pace. They did not have all the modern technology we do. It would be so nice to have the technology and the slower pace. Is there such an existence possible? I have to wonder.
In many times in history there were those who strayed away into pagan theology. Imagine knowing who God is and that there is only one God. Not the Ein Sof concept of God that we find in the Zohar but the concept of God being our Creator who also is our deliverer. That is why I cannot swallow the worlds theological view of who Jesus is. I find it so hard to believe that Jews would begin to turn from serving the One true God to a polytheistic view. Then in doing so they seek to convert those who serve the One True God of Israel into following them. The New Testament clearly calls them the blind leading the blind. If you say you serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob then how can you believe in a Jesus who is a lesser God? If He is God then He is the Almighty robed in flesh...the Messiah??? How then can you swallow a pagan view of the Only God in the Universe??? That is preposterous. I say to those who are off on this deceptive path to come out of darkness into the marvelous light of the Lord. He is either God or He is not. You cannot have it both ways. If God be God then serve Him. If Baal be god then serve him but don't come telling me someone robed in Baal's ways is my God because you are wrong in every sense. Well enough of my ranting. Off to study deeper things such as ancient manuscripts and scripts. Shalom...Dana

Working on video's to promote Hebrew Research and the study of Hebrew scholars during the days Jesus walked the earth. I have a great burden to educate the people of the Name of Jesus and those who are Monotheistic in belief. If you have gotten thus far in study and revelation then you are desiring deeper study without going over the edge. So many end up weird when they begin to study Judaism. The understanding has to come over you that today's Judaism is not what was being practiced during the days Jesus walked the earth. If you desire more understanding about this and want a place to begin study then enroll in my program of Jewish Studies. We are not an expensive school that has a great deal of perks. We are a small school with a few professors who have joined together to educate the body of Jesus Christ in deeper studies including the original Biblical Languages. Due to our low overhead and great burden we make it affordable. Sure you won't be labeled a Cambridge Scholar by graduating from AT Seminary but you also won't be spoon fed. You have to do the work. We are excited about all of it. Have a great day!

The Mercies of God

                                 The God of Two Testaments

The mercies of Jehovah are made new every morning. To the average Christian living in today's society what does that mean? It could mean that God over looks our sin. It could mean that He changes His word for us as we are too weak to do what His word says even though He is God. For some this is the view they have chosen. What kind of God would He be if He made laws to govern mankind and the laws He made are so harsh that mankind perishes daily in failure. He would not be the kind of Father we see in the New Testament. How can it be that the Jesus of the New Testament is the personification of the Holy God we say that He is with such a gulf of difference between testaments? This very question has been an object of consideration from Jews in today's world and past time frames in history that have sought answers.
The answer itself could lie in the very definition of mercy. Mercy is defined as unmerited favor. It is called mercy by one and grace by another. Some would define grace as the one thing that emanates from Jehovah that allows us to be accepted by Him, but is that really truth? So many questions, so many unanswered questions. It has been understood that both answers cannot be right. Maybe in the eyes of the culture of the reader and the past cultures that posed stumbling blocks, yet not if one truly analyzes the facts.

The vast difference lies in the facts of who Jehovah is to begin with. Jews see the dealings of God as a people as His visitation upon them. The perfection of them as a people is received as a renewing of them as a whole existence. He has not left them alone to perish. He has not decided to look the other way. He has decided to deal with them, to perfect them, to make them eternally what they should. This molding and making enables God's chosen people to be enlightened to the extent of dwelling with Him in heavenly places. The early church was composed of such Jews. They left us a legacy. Let us not take that legacy and turn against it. In the Bible there are many chapters dealing with the Jews who made up the early Christian congregations. We call them the Church but the term congregation would be a better term.

To a Christian who has received enlightenment through the baptism of the Holy Spirit as was recorded in the New Testament in the book of Acts chapter 2 there is a different view entirely. They express an entirely different view than their predecessors. A veil has been taken from their minds.

Early Puritanical writers told of an angry God who wielded judgement and perdition upon those who do not respond directly to all of His commandments.  This is due to the reformation and things that have happened in the past. The same Christianity that existed in the life and times of Jesus Christ is not what this mindset came from.

We live in a wonderful time on earth. We live in a time of reformation that is unknown to our predecessors. We live in a day of technology and study and research. This has added to our knowledge of the Bible and the language in which it is written. Thus we to an extent can hear the voice of the text and the words of Jesus so much clearer. As we hear this sound let us amplify the sound and bring the real Jesus to the world. Let us bring the merciful one who ate with sinners and publicans. The one who rode into Jerusalem on the foal of an Ass. The one who fed the five thousand. He who told the parable of the good Samaritan. What does this world need? It needs the real Jesus not the religious one made up by groups who do not understand that He is the God of two Testaments.

The Name of G_d

According to Jewish practice some of the Names of God are to sacred to be pronounced aloud unless we profane. The Bible says in Exodus Chapter 20 verse 7

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

The name Elohim should only be pronounced as such when reading from the Bible. If one uses the name outside of this context then it should be pronounced Elokhim.

One of the names we use for God in Hebrew is Ha Shem, which basically means, "the Name." Though the name Elohim is one of the most commonly used forms used it is though to be and honorary plural form of the word El or Elh which means, "a god."

May this be a blessing to someone today.
Shabbat Shalom

Funniest Refresher Ever

I am neck deep in books and material for the Masters in Jewish Studies Program. The funny thing is I am always looking for a program that keeps me totally brushed up for class room teaching. I found this site on the web that had a sale on classes. So I subscribed to it. The marketing course is awesome. So professionally done. I wanted some ideas so I can market our life coaching program to the state. Well that was a wonderful investment as it will educate me in ways I never knew existed. The Hebrew Course coming out of Jerusalem with the native speaker however was hilarious. It is this guy being taped writing on a white board. He speaks very bad English and being an English teacher (ESL) it had me rolling my eyes. I thought..oh well it's a refresher for Hebrew so I will just ride it out. I think the guy ought to say in the film....just a minute while I go light the hash bowl...it just went out. It was like the Bill and Ted of Hebrew School....hilarious. Not at all what I bargained for and I cannot get a refund because it's an honest legitimate course. Too funny!!! Never will I do that one again. I did however get my laugh for the day. I am better off going over the Hebrew Course I taught for Muskegon University. It was so much better just reviewing my own DVD's. Thank you Brother Good Joe for making DVD's of me teaching. Call me vain but I
am a good Hebrew Teacher. I love the language, people and Bible. Tonight though it made me miss everyone in Indiana. I love Indy. It is an awesome place to live. The students are amazing and right on tract in studying and asking questions. I also love the advance Hebrew Courses at Jewish Education available there. I sure miss
it. I miss my dear Hebrew teacher Mr. Cohen and the Rabbi:) there. She is awesome! I also miss Hebrew School and the congregations......well there you have it......I love Louisiana but I am just as fond of Indiana. In the Name of the Most High God Dana Klein

Studying Diasporia's

Today has been productive in research. I am currently reading accounts of the diasporas. It
seems everyone remembers the horrible things done by Hitler to the Jewish people. They seem
to fail to remember the Spanish Inquisition. Things done in the Name of Christianity were never what Jesus of Nazareth ever intended. We see no Biblical accounts in the New Testament of this being done by Christians to Jews. We see however a religious group calling themselves Christians doing horrible things in the earth. None of it justified. We know for a fact that this was not done by Peter, Paul, John or Timothy. These things were done by the religious who were not following even the 10 commandments. Jesus never said to kill your enemy. No rather He taught to love your enemy. Stephen the Martyr did not die in vain. Sure many things happened to the early Church at the hands of others but they were never taught to kill, steal or destroy. Those are the habits of another father, not the Father of the Faithful. Those are the habits of the enemy. Looking at all that is happening in the world today it really makes you think that barbarianism is alive and well. Things people used to do that were so violent are now done in an aristocratic manner. Jesus help us all. We need to make it out of this world without sin. Which brings me back to square one. Jesus said to love our enemies and not to curse them but bless them. In all the research I do I cannot see where He ever justified killing our enemy or our neighbor and especially our brother or sister. In fact we are not even to speak ill of them. We all have such a long way to go. Lord have mercy on us and especially me.
In the Name above all Names...Jesus the Messiah....

Spent today working on Seminary projects along with various other projects. Lots of irons in the fire so to speak. One of such was reading a book compiled by Nehemia Gordon's comments on the Name of Jesus. He has some good things to say. Let there be a warning go out to Christians who
read any material written by a scholar not versed in Biblical Salvation. Especially by one who is
Hebrew competent and extremely intellectual. Sometimes a loaded gun backfires. Be careful in that though someone is expert in one area it does not validate all areas. Don't move out of truth for what seems like a knowledgeable revelation of scripture. Weigh all things and validate them by the Word of God, both Old and New Covenant. Many times people are more impressed by Judaism than by the
truth of Jesus Christ. This is camouflaged  under the guise that all someone need is the Revelation that Jesus is Messiah and that every thing else is okay. Judaism of today is not the Judaism during the life and times of Jesus Christ. Babylonian practices have no place in God's House yesterday, today or forever. If it be that you hold the firm conviction that Jesus is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob then,  realize He still hates the same things He always hated.

This is a dangerous time for the Church to guard against apostasy and an Anti-Jesus Christ Spirit. Paul, the Apostle said it was already in the world during his time. Paul left for heaven but the Anti-Christ spirit stayed here on earth and it is alive and well. Now, that is not to say much cannot be learned from someone who does not have the revelation of Jesus Christ. Math can be learned from a math teacher. Economics from an economics teacher. Much is able to be absorbed by good and various lectures. When it comes to Bible Doctrine it is best left to those who at least understand salvation. Caution must be exercised when it comes to Biblical truth as all of the Bible is true. One's view concerning the validity of truth however comes in to question when the example does not mirror the pattern left for us by Jesus and the Apostles. Some scholars are vehemently against one Biblical contradiction yet put into practice another founded by the vary group they are so set against. The proverbial strain at a knat and swallow a camel theme well come into play in such a circumstance. When carefully studied under the magnifying glass of God's Word such things come to light. Tomorrow will come soon and other projects will have to be taken care of. It is good to be busy.
